Hmm, it appears by blog has evolved into reviews and recipes. To be honest, it's been difficult to put my thoughts into words which is why personal blogs have been few and far between. Work is work. Our new receptionist started this week, and I like her. She's off to a very promising start and I really hope she sticks around.
Now to super exciting news. Last Saturday night I went out to dinner to celebrate my lovely friend Alison's 25th birthday. After mains her boyfriend presented her with a bag containing her birthday present. While she was looking through the bag pulled a small box out of his pocket and got down on one knee and proposed! The whole dining room and waitstaff stopped and watched and Alison's reply made us all laugh. "Yes you sneaky bastard." It is super exciting.
On Monday Jesse and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary. It was low key. Jesse and Daniel made up a stew during the day in a camp oven and it was delicious. Sadly, Jesse was still sick and after having cold & flu tablets and then a drink with dinner he was asleep by 7.30pm...but that's OK. It was still a lovely evening where I didn't have to cook! We hope that there are many many more anniversaries to come in the future.
